A smile can be the most important part
of the face. It expresses so many emotions and determines
how other people see you. Sometimes though, your smile doesn’t
accurately reflect how you feel on the inside. Teeth with
chips, stains and gaps can make your smile seem less friendly.
But thanks to new technology, we can make your smile truly
reflect how you feel.
With cosmetic dentistry, we can change almost
anything about your smile. Often these procedures are quick
and the results are obvious soon after the treatment. Let
us know your concerns about your smile, and we will show you
all the latest possibilities.
Whitening
Whitening is a procedure that brightens stained, discolored
or darkened teeth due to age, diet or smoking. Performed in
our office or in the comfort of your home, whitening restores
your smile and confidence. Chair side bleaching uses an oxidizing
gel that is activated by light and you’ll notice immediate
results. Home bleaching utilizes custom nightguard trays which
hold the bleaching gel until it is convenient for you to apply.
Noticeable results are achieved within 1-2 weeks.
Composite Fillings
Composite resins are tooth-colored, plastic materials (made
of glass and resin) that are used both as fillings and to
repair defects in the teeth. Because they are tooth-colored,
it is difficult to distinguish them from natural teeth. Composites
are often used on the front teeth where a natural appearance
is important. They can be used on the back teeth as well depending
on the location and extent of the tooth decay. Composite resins
are usually more costly than amalgam fillings.
Veneers
A veneer placed on the front of your teeth can correct nature's
mistake or the results of an injury and help you have a beautiful
smile. Veneers are thin, custom-made shells crafted of tooth-colored
materials designed to cover the front side of teeth. They're
made by a dental technician working from a model provided
by your dentist.
